The day after the launch I managed to visit the Maison Martin Margiela pop-up store at H&M, San Francisco.
I was very impressed by how well organized this H&M store was. It is located by Union Square (150 Powell Street), the heart of the city, so I was dreading the mad pre-thanksgiving crowd around this busy shopping district.
However, it felt like a mini museum exhibit. The decoration was loyally inspired by Maison Martin Margiela’s conceptual design style. Considering the shopping madness expected at such a busy location, especially the day after the collection launch, it was well managed and organized. So my congratulations to the team at H&M for a great experience, respecting the designer’s vision and style.
After trying on about everything I could get my hands on, I bought myself a stunning blazer which I regard as a piece of art.
What is so special about it? You really have to see this collection in person and feel the unexpected textures and proportions.
I will definitely go back for seconds and hopefully secure some of the items from my new wish-list (below).
Have a great Thanksgiving!

I really wish I had a model height and built because I feel that most clothes would look much better on tall and very slim girls (rather than me 🙂 )

@LittleRus Oh wouldn’t we all! However even models need to have clothes fitted. Thankfully there’s always something to look great on every body type. 😉
